Setting up the optimization

In optimization, the goal is to find values for the design variables that minimize the difference between the reference data and the correlated solution results.

To set up the optimization, you must specify:

  • Targets, which are sensors with their individual weights.
  • Optimization design variables and their initial, maximum, and minimum values that define the optimization design space.
  • Solver settings such as the convergence criterion and the maximum number of design cycles.

After TMG Correlation completes the optimization, you can evaluate the results. If the results do not fulfill your requirements with the current optimization settings, you can modify your thermal correlation analysis and solve it again until you get the desired results.
