Introduction
This guide explains how to install and start TMG Correlation on supported 64-bit Windows and Linux computers.
In this guide, it is assumed that you have basic computer knowledge to perform certain actions such as browsing disks and folders, setting environment variables, and running commands from a command prompt. If you are not familiar with these techniques, consult your Windows or Linux documentation.
To install TMG Correlation in a Simcenter 3D or NX environment, you will need the following:
- A valid Simcenter 3D Thermal Multiphysics, Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal, or Simcenter 3D Electronic Systems Cooling license from a Siemens license server.
- A valid TMG Correlation license from the Maya HTT License Server, which can be installed on a Windows or Linux computer.
- Simcenter 3D or NX installed and working on a Windows computer. To install it, consult the Simcenter 3D or NX installation documentation on Siemens Support Center.

The TMG Correlation is provided via download on Maya HTT Customer Portal. The TMG Correlation Windows and Linux packages contain multiple files and folders. The following files are important for the installation procedure:
- TMGCorrelationSetup.exe, which is the TMG Correlation installer for Windows.
- TMGCorrelation folder, which contains the files to install TMG Correlation on Linux.

- Install TMG Correlation.
- Verify the installation.
Environment variables
- MAYA_CORRELATION_SERVER—Indicates the path to the Maya HTT License Server, which could be defined on a local machine on which you use TMG Correlation or on a dedicated machine in the network. The format is:
server:port
. For example, when the license server and TMG Correlation are on the same machine, set:MAYA_CORRELATION_SERVER = localhost:10999
. - TMG_CORRELATION_DIR—Indicates the location of the TMG Correlation patch. The Windows installer automatically defines this variable for you. For a Linux installation, you need to manually set it.
- UGII_USER_DIR—Indicates the location of the TMG Correlation user interface for Simcenter 3D or NX. The Windows installer automatically defines this variable for you. This variable is not required for Linux.
