Introduction to TMG Correlation
TMG Correlation is a Maya HTT product that allows you to calibrate a Simcenter 3D thermal model by minimizing the error between the computed temperatures, and reference temperatures coming from test data or validated simulation results. It supports steady-state and transient solutions, including an unlimited number of design variables and sensors in the reference data, which allows you to perform a thermal correlation analysis.
TMG Correlation is fully integrated in Simcenter 3D and requires the Simcenter 3D Pre/Post application.
The following flowchart illustrates the TMG Correlation solution process:
Using TMG Correlation, you can:
- Compare a Simcenter 3D solution with reference data from tests or experiments, and then calibrate the original solution to match the reference data.
- Compare a Simcenter 3D solution with reference data from theory, third-party simulations, or an existing Simcenter 3D simulation, and then calibrate the original solution to match the reference data.
- Calibrate a Simcenter 3D solution using temperature targets based on certification or industry standards such as RTCA DO-160G or ECSS Thermal Control General Requirements, ECSS-E-ST-31C.
