Thermal correlation analysis preparation
Before conducting a thermal correlation analysis, it is important to properly prepare your simulation model and the reference data.
Preparing a Simcenter 3D model
Before creating a thermal correlation analysis, you need to:
- Have a solved simulation model in supported solver environments.
- Identify which boundary conditions have uncertain parameters. These boundary conditions become design variable candidates for the thermal correlation analysis.
- Identify any critical transient solution times where there is a significant change in the boundary condition or temperature values. These times are good candidates for correlation times.
- (Optional) Create named points in Simcenter 3D to easily locate sensors for the thermal correlation analysis.
