The following section describes the Thermal Model Exchanger assumptions and limitations when you export a Thermal Desktop model to a Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal XML file.

Exporting a case set

You can use Thermal Model Exchanger to export case sets from Thermal Desktop into Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal.

A case set in Thermal Desktop corresponds to a solution in Simcenter 3D. The Simcenter 3D XML file, which is translated by Thermal Model Exchanger (TMX), is the thermal solver input file for one solution. The application creates a single XML file per case set.

TMX supports steady-state and transient case set types. For transient solutions, the application only exports the start and end times and keeps the other options in the Simcenter 3D Solution dialog box with the default values.
