Updating the simulation model
After you verified the optimization results, you must update the simulation model to reflect any changes that were made during the thermal correlation analysis so that you can continue your modeling in Simcenter 3D.
Model Update page
The Model Update page lets you update the simulation model, which is saved to a new location, with the optimization results when you select the Model Update node in the main panel.

  The TMG Correlation user interface is integrated in Simcenter 3D using NX Open and contains unique features to conduct a thermal correlation analysis, in addition to standard tools and commands described in the Simcenter 3D Online help and the NX Online help.

  A design variable is a simulation entity of your model that the TMG Correlation solver varies within a specific range during the optimization to reduce the gap between the reference data and the simulation results.

  In optimization, the goal is to find values for the design variables that minimize the difference between the reference data and the correlated solution results.
- Monitoring the optimization
  Use the Solution Monitor and Solution Control Monitor to track the analysis during the solve. The monitors provide solver-specific information for the TMG thermal solver and the thermal correlation analysis.
- Analyzing the optimization results
  After you solve a thermal correlation analysis, you can analyze the results of the optimization process in the TMG Correlation dialog box.

The Model Update page lets you update the simulation model, which is saved to a new location, with the optimization results when you select the Model Update node in the main panel.


Model Update
Copy Files table	Lists the following information related to the simulation model: Status—Indicates whether to copy the Simulation, FEM, part, and ideal part files of the simulation model while updating the model. The icon indicates that the file will be copied to the new location. The icon indicates that the file will not be copied. Double-click on the icon to change the status. The Simulation file is always copied. In Teamcenter Integration only the Simulation file is copied. FEM and part files cannot be copied. Source—Displays the path and name of the original model files. Destination—Displays the path and name of the updated model files. You can click any column heading to sort the list in ascending or descending alphabetical order.
Destination Folder	Available only in native Simcenter 3D or NX. Specifies the folder path to which the software copies the updated model files. Enter the folder path or click Browse to select it.
