Getting started with Space Systems Thermal

If you are new to Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal, this guide will help you get up to speed quickly. It connects you to a series of exercises that provide a comprehensive introduction to thermal modeling using the software.

Each lesson in this guide includes:

Prerequisites

Before starting this guide, you should have:

A basic understanding of thermal analysis concepts.
A working knowledge of Designcenter NX modeling.
Access to Simcenter 3D with the Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal license.

Specific requirements for exercises

Before starting the exercises, set your role to Advanced in Simcenter 3D to access all the necessary commands. On the resource bar, choose Roles > Content folder > Role Advanced .

Note:

The starting files, which you download before starting each exercise, are saved in Simcenter 3D 2506. You can follow these exercises from the current or higher version, but the steps, command names, or user interface (UI) for higher versions may be slightly different.
