Exporting a model from Thermal Desktop to Simcenter 3D
Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 introduces several significant improvements and new features for exporting models from Thermal Desktop into Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal. It now supports exporting domain tag sets, symbols, aliases, and more primitive, and boundary condition types from Thermal Desktop.
Exporting thermo-physical properties
Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now supports enhanced export of thermo-physical properties, including scale values, specific heat, material stack and insulation properties, and optical and thermo-physical property aliases.

  Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 introduces several significant improvements and new features for importing models from Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal into Thermal Desktop. It now supports a greater variety of mesh types, thermo-optical properties, and boundary condition types from Simcenter 3D.

It now supports exporting domain tag sets, symbols, aliases, and more primitive, and boundary condition types from Thermal Desktop.
  - Exporting primitives and domain tag sets
    Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now allows you to export more primitive types, control the primitive angular subdivision, and export domain tag sets from Thermal Desktop into Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal.
  - Exporting symbols
    You can now use Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 to export symbol values from Thermal Desktop into Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal.
  - Exporting thermo-physical properties
    Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now supports enhanced export of thermo-physical properties, including scale values, specific heat, material stack and insulation properties, and optical and thermo-physical property aliases.
  - Exporting heaters and heat loads
    Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now supports exporting heaters with sense temperature selection from Thermal Desktop as thermal loads with thermostats or active heater controllers in Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal, and allows more options for heat load export.
  - Exporting radiation
    Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now converts radiation from Thermal Desktop to a Radiation simulation object of the Enclosure Radiation type.
  - Exporting orbits and space environment
    Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now supports exporting External Heating Environment boundary conditions from Thermal Desktop into additional types of orbital heating simulation objects in Simcenter 3D Space Systems Thermal.

Exporting thermo-physical properties

Thermal Model Exchanger 2.0 now supports enhanced export of thermo-physical properties, including scale values, specific heat, material stack and insulation properties, and optical and thermo-physical property aliases.

When exporting thermo-physical properties, Thermal Model Exchanger (TMX) now:

Applies the specified scale value for mass density and thermal conductivity.
Supports both constant and table-defined specific heat. In the previous release, TMX only supported constant values for specific heat.
Exports material stack and insulation properties as a Multi-layer Shell Non-Uniform physical property in Simcenter 3D.
Supports exporting from Thermal Desktop the values of optical and thermo-physical property aliases. In Simcenter 3D, the value of the exported alias is specified in the corresponding box for the imported thermo-optical or physical property. When you change the global definition of an alias in the Props tab of the Case Set dialog box to adjust its value for a specific case, TMX exports the updated alias values when exporting the Case Set into Simcenter 3D.
