Updating the TMG solver patch
You can update the TMG solver patch for the thermal-flow solver by manually replacing the solver files or by using the appropriate environment variable.

- TMG thermal-flow solvers
  Maya HTT develops and maintains a thermal solver and a flow solver, which are combined into the TMG thermal-flow solvers. These solvers are included and distributed with Simcenter 3D, NX Designcenter, and Simcenter Femap. Older versions of TMG thermal-flow solvers are also included in NX I-deas.

Updating the TMG solver patch

You can update the TMG solver patch for the thermal-flow solver by manually replacing the solver files or by using the appropriate environment variable.

For Simcenter Femap, the TMG solver patch is located in <Simcenter Femap installation>/TMG or in the directory specified by the FEMAP_TMG environment variable if it is defined.

Thermal-flow installation directories

The TMG solver patch contains components for the solver and user interface (UI) integration components. For Simcenter 3D, these components are installed in different locations:

<Simcenter 3D installation>\THERMALFLOW\tmgsolver contains the thermal-flow solver executables.
<Simcenter 3D installation>\NXCAE_EXTRAS\tmg contains the TMG integration components for Simcenter 3D, including UI-related files, plugins, dependencies, and execution scripts.

Note:

When applying a TMG solver patch, follow the instructions in README.txt provided with the applicable patch to determine which components must be updated.

At runtime, the thermal-flow solver is loaded from <Simcenter 3D installation>\THERMALFLOW\tmgsolver, or from the directory specified by the UGII_TMG_DIR environment variable if it is defined.
