Bug 87507: Incorrect heat flow values are applied on a solid body for a co-simulation model with Simcenter Amesim when the Simcenter 3D thermal solver uses the finite element method

Fixed versions: 2406.5

Shape functions were not updated properly for co-simulation models that used the finite element method and contained thermal exchange boundary conditions with heat transfer coefficient and fluid temperature inputs coming from Simcenter Amesim. This led to incorrect elemental and nodal temperature values. This has been fixed.

Bug 97404: Incorrect nodal interpolation of convective area at nodes that belong to face-to-face or edge-to-edge contact boundary conditions

Fixed versions: 2312.8

For models using the finite element method and containing face-to-face or edge-to-edge contact boundary conditions, the interpolation of convective area at nodes belonging to these boundary conditions was incorrectly computed. This could lead to zero values for nodal convection coefficients and nodal area corrected convection coefficients where non-zero values were expected. For consistency with more recent versions of the solver, the behaviour for boundary conditions applied to internal lines between axisymmetric and plane stress meshes where the thickness of the plane stress mesh is larger than the axisymmetric one has also changed. The convective area is computed based on the absolute value of the subtraction of thicknesses, and an appropriate warning message is produced. This change could impact several elemental and nodal results such as fluid and solid temperatures, fluid pressures on walls, convection coefficients, etc. This has been fixed.
