Bug 98837: Incorrect elemental convection coefficient results for overlapping boundary conditions applied on a solid body that is part of a cyclic symmetry selection

Fixed versions: 2406.7, 2312.10, 2306.16

Incorrect elemental convection coefficient results occur when overlapping boundary conditions (BCs) are applied on a solid body that is part of a cyclic symmetry selection. The issue stems from the calculation of convection coefficients, which varies based on whether cyclic symmetry is enabled or disabled. When cyclic symmetry is off, the computation is accurate. When cyclic symmetry is on, if multiple BCs overlap, the thermal solver previously included contributions from primary elements without secondary element connections in the convection coefficient calculations, for example, this may occur when the Only Connect Overlapping Elements option is enabled for a thermal coupling BC. This software defect has been corrected.

Bug 100512: Incorrect elemental and nodal conductive flux results are computed with the finite element discretization method

Fixed versions: 2406.7

Prior to the fix, incorrect elemental and nodal conductive flux results are computed with the finite element discretization method. The computed temperatures are not affected by this software defect. After the fix, elemental and nodal conductive flux results are consistent with those obtained using the element center of gravity (CG) discretization method.
