Bug 94497: Enclosure radiation applied to the edges of plane stress elements is not properly treated
Fixed versions: 2506.0, 2412.8
Models that included one or more enclosure radiation requests applied to the edges of plane stress elements generated inaccurate temperature results, irrespective of the number of instances specified for the mesh. The solver’s methodology for computing view factors in this scenario was flawed. This issue has now been corrected.
User Story 104797: Rotational effects are excluded from the heat flow calculations for convection coupling boundary conditions in the .bcdata summary file
Fixed versions: 2506.0, 2412.8
The heat flow values written to the <simulation/model name>-<solution/analysis name>.bcdata summary file were computed incorrectly for convection coupling boundary conditions when using the Correct for Wall Rotation or Adiabatic Wall Temperature for Heat Transfer Calculations options. Previously, the thermal solver used the fluid temperature for the heat flow calculation. The updated solver now uses relative temperature for Correct for Wall Rotation and adiabatic temperature for Adiabatic Wall Temperature for Heat Transfer Calculations. No changes were made for the Neglect Wall Rotation and Relative Temperature Reference Frame options.
Bug 106599: The heat pickup defined in thermal stream loads is not written to the INPF file unless the Activate Rotating Machinery Options check box is selected
Fixed versions: 2506.0, 2412.7, 2406.11
Previously, the thermal solver did not account for the heat pickup defined in thermal stream loads when the Activate Rotating Machinery Options check box was cleared. Now, heat pickup is considered regardless of the check box status, which may lead to different results.
